I've heard so many say I hate paintings because they aren't tactile, and I have the perfect solution. An art professor I work with at my university did some work at the school for the blind in Ohio when she was in grad school, so she often still makes tactile pieces. She brought her painting one day, and I could feel it. I then used the same technique to do my own painting, and it works great. You can use Acrylic paint on plexiglass. I'm not sure how well it would turn out on paper for feel, but I will probably test it out soon.

Hi Keri. There are organisations that produce tactile renderings of famous
paintings if that's of interest.

I didn't know that. Do you know the organizations by chance?
Many blind people don't experience art at all, sadly.

i used to paint when I was younger on a draftsman drawing board. i actually used it for School. it is ancient and the gum is already going away. I used to paint figures of tall and slender Girls with curly hair. once i was drawing in the Train on my way to School. I drew a Girl, some trees, a Meadow, the Setting sun and some flowers and a small tiny bird in the tree. I gave the drawing to my sighted care staff and she loved it and recognized everything.
